On May 6, 2007 St John's installed our new Vicar,

Mother Kelli Grace Kurtz.

Here are some photographs to remember the occasion

The 'Official Portrait' left to right Dan Morrow (Youth minister, St John's), Fr John Conrad, Rector All Saints Episcopal Church in Riverside, Mother Kelli Grace Kurtz, St John's newly installed Vicar, Bishop Sergio Carranza from the Los Angeles Diocese, Deacon Michael Cunningham and Father Michael Cooper both from the Diocese

After the Bishop entered and was seated, the sermon was by Father John Conrad of All Saints Episcopal Church in Riverside, where Mother Kelli Grace had been an Associate Pastor.  He both warned Mother Kelli Grace of what she was getting into while giving St. John's the 'low down' on our new Vicar.

Bishop Carranza reads Bishop Bruno's letter to St. John's appointing Mother Kelli Grace as Vicar of St. John's

Various groups in the Congregation bring gifts to the new Vicar.  Here the Children of St. John's remind Mother Kelli Grace that they are the lambs of the congregation

Mother Kelli Grace prepares her first Eucharist at St John's

and gives the bread and wine to the congregation.

In appreciation for Dan Morrow's service during the transition, Mother Kelli Grace gave Dan her 'old' Deacon's Stoles for Dan to use after his ordination in June.

At the end of the service and after the procession, everyone applauds St. John's new Vicar.

After the service, there is a St. John's tradition, food ....

The J2A Youth group prepared pancakes in honor of the occasion.

A rousing good time was had by all, but its time to go.  Thanks to Kurt Stetzer for taking the photographs.
