Operation Beanne-

Operation Beanie Update
Thanks to your nimble fingers (and lots of love), over 500 beanies have been deployed to the U.S.M.C. at Camp Pendleton! St. John's started a landslide of beanies to our troops stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan. Grateful thanks to all. The first phase of Operation Beanie, intended for Camp Pendleton, is now complete. Phase two, the U.S.O. in Ontario (located in the west terminal building of the "old" airport) is ready to receive our work. Continue to knit, crochet, and pray as we fill up St. John's Beanie Basket in Vicenti Hall. Your handiwork will be used to supply the 400+ soldiers who will be headed overseas. Need more yarn? Talk to Nancy (909.860.5470 or sassy1072@roadrunner.com), she has received yarn donations for Operation Beanie.
School Supplies and Toys for Liberia
Vestry member, Vashti Bliss, is connected with an Anglican school in Liberia. She has volunteered to pass on donations of school supplies and toys (Please, non-electric and non-battery powered) to the children at this school. Please bring your items and place them in the labeled box located in Vicenti Hall. Each item is deeply appreciated
Inland Valley Council of Churches needs Food Donations
These donations are distributed to local less fortunate and can be placed in the donation basket in the Narthex. Particularly needed are canned goods (Especially meat and fish), Helper (Tuna, fish, Hamburger) Spaghetti noodles and sauce, soups, peanut butter, jelly, jam, rice, instant potatoes. PLEASE, nothing that can spoil (garden produce, etc) and NO GLASS CONTAINERS!
Orma’s Fund
A Big Thank You for all those that contributed yarn or money to help pay for shipping. We’ve raised over $915.00 to help cover the cost of shipping the yarn! The women of Swaziland under Orma's fund will be so pleased with your generosity.
Donations for Flowers and Candles needed
Contributions for flowers and altar candles can be arranged for specific dates by signing up on the sign-up board in Vincenti Hall. A contribution of $50.00 covers the cost of flowers and a $10 dollar contribution covers the cost of altar candles. See the Eagle for more information.
