There are many groups within the Anglican Communion involved in study, self-improvement, and spirituality. Among those brought to our attention are: 1. Two orders of Franciscans. Both Orders use the teachings of St. Francis of Assisi to guide their personal and spiritual lives. The First Order Franciscans, or the Society of St. Francis, is a world-wide Franciscan community within the Anglican Communion. The Province of the Americas is part of the Episcopal Church. It is a society of men who live under vows of poverty, chastity and obedience. In addition to the work of prayer, most of the Brothers are engaged in work outside the friary. The Third Order Franciscans, or TSSF, are ordinary members of the secular world who feel a need to meet regularly in fellowship with a goal of contemplation, social justice, improving ones relation ship with God, and sustained spiritual development. We would appreciate any suggestions for links to add here, please email us with your suggestions.
